Sometimes Life Gives You an Unexpected Surprise!
Now before you get excited and think that my surprise is a baby… think again! I’m 57 years young today and that would be some sort of a miracle for sure! But I’ll give you a hint, it has something to do with VINTAGE and a dream of mine. A booth space became immediately available, right out of the blue! It’s a fantastic space at my favorite antique mall!! I was totally over the moon and super thankful! But to be honest, I had almost given up hope… I’m so glad I didn’t, because sometimes life gives you an unexpected surprise!
My husband and I had been planning to have our own spring break this week. The kids were back at school so we decided to enjoy the wonderful weather and have some fun. We wanted to take time for just the two of us! A relaxing staycation is just what we needed. We were not traveling anywhere special… just a few day trips, including some hiking and nature walks.
This week’s blog was going to be short and sweet, and show a few spring nature photos. But the moment our week began and we were on our first hike at our favorite park… my cell phone rang. It was the Ohio Valley Antique Mall telling me that a booth had literally just become available, and it was all mine!!! Well, that was exciting news indeed! But, I felt like a deer in headlights! We hoped a booth would be in our near future but we didn’t think we were going to get one that soon! A little panic struck, we sped down the trail and headed home to plan and strategize!
let’s get going!
So. long story short, our relaxing staycation had turned into an “all hands on deck” endeavor! We had no time to waste! It was time to get cracking. Life’s funny like that! You never know what’s around the corner. We sure were grateful for this very HAPPY news! We will be sharing our exciting adventure next week and until then, let’s not panic! Let’s get prepping! Let’s get painting! And, most of all… Let’s get HOMEY!!
