Homey Blue Heron is Flying to Etsy: Come See The New Shop!
There is some SUPER-BIG news here at Homey Blue Heron!! We have finally made the decision to open up an Etsy shop…hip hip Hooray! We thought it would be a perfect fit for us and the best way to showcase our fun vintage finds. It’s also a wonderful place to shop and find unique curated treasures. I plan to feature a new group of merchandise once a month on my blog and on my HBH Instagram account, so you can easily stay in touch with my latest fun finds! So here we go! Homey Blue Heron is flying to Etsy, so come visit us and see our new store!
why etsy?
So why Etsy? To me it just makes sense! They are well known for their beautiful handcrafted goods and their amazing vintage items. I have been an Etsy customer for years, and some of very favorite purchases have come from there. For example, I purchased my 1950s kitchen phone and all my fabulous retro wall clocks from them. Last year my friend gave me a colorful handmade crocheted purse. It came all the way from Turkey… I’m so smitten I take it everywhere with me! I LOVE that Etsy is focused on supporting individual artisans as well as embracing the vintage vendor.
curated fun finds
We are having a BLAST hunting, gathering, and building up inventory! It’s early days and we are adding items daily. So, hang in there, we are even adding some McCoy!… Oh Boy! Beyond that, we have collected some fun vintage ceramic vases, planters, and figurines. My two favorite items are the large nautical tin and wooden horse head bookends from the 1950s.
