Getting More Excited for Christmas…My Wonderful Trip to the Conservatory!

Well, today was a glorious day! The sun was out, the temperature up, and some of my family wanted to take a visit to our local flower conservatory. Now, this is unusual for me because typically I love to go there in winter after Christmas and way into the colder months. When everything is gray and colorless and I really start to miss spring and all the beautiful blooms and the GREEN of all the trees! It’s heavenly to be surrounded by tropical paradise and pretend summer is just around the corner. This time of year they have a magnificent display to celebrate the season. And, although it isn’t even Thanksgiving yet, it really put me in the holiday mood! Believe it or not, I found myself getting even more excited for Christmas because of my wonderful trip to the conservatory!

It’s a magical place for young and old. A botanical garden infused with Christmas cheer, with its toy trains, lights, holiday trees, and poinsettias. It has amazing handmade city landmarks all made out of locally sourced plant material. And, for an extra special touch, carols play throughout the exhibit…now I’m feeling very merry indeed!

Feeling very merry

As soon as I got home…you guessed it…I started digging through my own stockpile of Christmas FUN! Getting ready with tinsel trees, Santas, reindeer, Christmas houses, and ornaments vintage and new. I always start to decorate when the mood strikes me. This year I’m getting a little bit of a head start. And, as usual, I’ll be taking my time and enjoying the whole process.
