Flea Market Fever Continues in Burlington: What a Wonderful Time!

A display of a variey of vintage ceramic pieces like a McCoy aqua bird vase, a McCoy rooster planter, A Shawnee aqua vase and a paint by numbers blue heron painting.

As fall approaches I admit I start to get a little panicky. It’s not because summer is ending and the cold weather will soon be here, but because around here, fall signals the end of the outdoor flea market season! So with no time to waste, last weekend we zipped back to Kentucky. We just had to squeeze in another antique show at one of our favorite places… Flea Market Fever continues in Burlington! What a wonderful time!

We had a truly fabulous time last Sunday visiting over 200 vendors at the Burlington Antique Show. It is held at the Boone County fairgrounds every third Sunday of each month (April through October.) While it’s not the largest flea market we attend… it sure does pack a punch! There is such great quality and variety of many items, all within a smaller area which makes it easier to navigate and shop… I LOVE that!

You can find anything under the sun! I found a nifty 1970s colorful flamingo paint-by-numbers and a mid-century aqua McCoy singing bird vase. We LOVE the random uniqueness of this flea market because you literally never know what you are going to find.

A few vintge ceramic miniatures including a dog in a tiny basket, a green elephant and some white and blue dutch shoes.

I have been obsessed with miniatures lately. I started collecting vintage ceramic figurines, mostly animals like dogs and birds. But recently I have really been hooked on these tiny woven baskets and at around 4 1/2 inches tall.. they are adorable!
