Etsy New Arrivals: My Three Favorite Things To Sell!

So, as you know, we indeed made the LEAP to Etsy one month ago… and we haven’t looked back since! It’s been full steam ahead that’s for sure! And I’ve been pleasantly surprised at how happy we are with the whole process. Every month I will share some Etsy new arrivals and explain a bit about them. It’s fascinating to figure out the origin and history of an item. For me, it becomes part of its identity and one of the reasons I fall in love with the piece. I really get a kick out of selling what I LOVE in hopes that you will LOVE it too. And so far it’s working! So please visit my Homey Blue Heron Etsy Shop. And check out my new arrivals and my three favorite things to sell!

OUR Philosophy

Being vintage vendors is our passion. It sure helps if we want to be successful in this competitive business. Our philosophy is to sell what we LOVE! That’s what makes being a vintage vendor a JOY instead of a JOB! We love to pick and we love to sell and we definitely love the thrill of the hunt! We are always on the search for mid-century trinkets and treasures, especially colorful ceramics, small appliances, and fun figurines.

colorful ceramics

You know I like to share my LOVE of mid-century ceramics… Oh Boy McCoy! I listed some new finds including this 1940-1942 sunny yellow McCoy Pottery piece. It’s a hobnail flower pot in amazing condition… WOW! I will not rest until every household proudly displays a colorful McCoy!

small appliances

Mid-century small appliances are a definite FAV of mine! I found this handheld General Electric mixer from the 1960s. This fast seller needed a replacement cord to bring it back to life but it was worth it! I truly love this because it is the same model that my mother and I have and we both still use ours today!

animals and figurines

Everyone needs a bit of whimsy and fun in their home decor and animals do just that! This lovely blue jay was made by Royal Copley from Sebring, Ohio. They were in business from 1939 to 1960 and specialized in small animal figurines.

Success

How do we weigh success… after one month? Success has many sides. It’s hard work and perseverance but it’s also putting meaning into the process… into the everyday. We not only hunt and sell but we rescue and revive lost and forgotten treasures! How cool is that? Our goal is to add hominess and cheer into your lives one vintage item at a time! And so far it’s been a BLAST! So, let’s add a bit of history to our world! Let’s add vintage to our decor! And most importantly, let’s get HOMEY!
