Browsing the Antique Mall and a Simple Little Booth Refresh

One of the BEST things about being a vendor at the wonderful Ohio Valley Antique Mall is that I get to enjoy the other vendor spaces. It’s one of the advantages of being a part of a GIANT mall… I am surrounded by so many amazing booths! And this time of year, when the seasons change, it’s very exciting to see the transitions and get ideas for my own booth as well. So this week I had a lot of fun browsing my antique mall and I still had time for a simple little booth refresh!

I’ll let you in on a little secret… I don’t always go to the antique mall just to straighten my booth and add new merchandise. When I have free time I love to browse! It sure is nice to take a stroll through the indoor streets of the antique mall and get into the autumn mood with all the fabulous fall merchandise… especially when it’s still super toasty outside!

Some vendors are focused on fall and others are still transitioning. I like to ease into it a bit at a time. At my booth, I’m still enjoying my summer vibes… but that is soon going to change.

Okay, so I’ll confess… a little REFRESH turned into a HOT MESS! But as my grandma used to say… you gotta crack a few eggs to make an omelet! And although it did take a bit longer than expected, it all worked out perfectly in the end. By bringing in some darker woods and handmade pottery my autumn vibes are well on their way!

easing into fall

It’s very fun to see the start of all the fall displays. Sometimes I have a hard time adapting from one season to another. I tend to get sad to see one go. But browsing the antique mall sure can help generate ideas and get the ball rolling for me. I do have a ways to go BUT the main goal was to at least start and I did indeed! So let’s all start to ease into autumn a bit at a time! Let’s all explore some awesome antique malls! But most importantly… let’s all get HOMEY!
