Beautiful Blooms and Vintage Vessels Make Quite a Lovely Pair!

Magenta and pale pink magnolia blooms paired with fresh green branches are displayed in a vintage yellow ceramic round vase sitting on a sunroom table.

Last week’s vintage furniture finds were taking over my home and this week SPRING has SPRUNG… and it’s all over my sunroom!  Pastels as far as the eye can see! I’m swimming in blossoms and blooms and loving every minute of it! I’ve got some new vintage treasures in pastel colors as well… oh, what fun I am going to have today!  So, with my fresh flowers and my retro containers, I’m excited to show you how beautiful blooms and vintage vessels make quite a lovely pair!

When a holiday comes around I like to get my bin of special goodies out early and give it a once over. I normally get all excited to rummage through the fun decor that I haven’t seen in a year. But this time my Easter decor was looking a little bit frumpy and flat… not festive at all! There was only one thing to do… go shopping! But, I needed to look for spring treasures without spending a lot of money. So I headed to my favorite thrift shop and vintage stores!

Vintage and thrift shops

I had spring on my brain and it didn’t take long to find antique Easter postcards, a fabulous ceramic pink vase, a floral tin, and much more! I even discovered many woven baskets, a mid-century swan planter, and a wonderful McCoy vase!!!

fresh Flowers

You know that my motto is, “bring the outdoors in.” So I always try to include florals and branches from my own yard. But, when I am looking for something special, I head to my local grocery store. This time of year I only had magnolias in bloom, so I headed to my nearby Trader Joe’s… they have such amazing choices!

Store bought spring flowers in plastic floral wrap sitting on a sunroom table. there are yellow tulips, pink snapdragons, daffodils and white Alstroemeria .
