Adding Some Spring with Vintage Fun Things and MORE!

SPRING has SPRUNG and I am raring to GO! Bring on sunnier skies and warmer days! I’m ready to perk up my decor and unpack some of my vintage treasures. I really enjoy decorating this time of year! And, I do have my seasonal favorites that I LOVE to display around Easter time. This year I am showcasing BLOOMS, BIRDS, and BEAUTIFUL pottery. So now it’s time to add some SPRING, with vintage fun things and more!

BLOoms
What can I say about colorful spring blooms? They sort of speak for themselves. Nothing says CHEERY and FRESH like a bouquet of flowers. It’s an instant pick-me-up for any room! My first choices are always sunny yellow tulips and old-fashioned daffodils. Whether they are store-bought or from the yard, bringing the outdoors in is always a good way to begin!

birds
I have always considered birds to be a classic symbol of SPRING. Vintage porcelain birds always add a special touch. These USA Lennox swans are so delicate and lovely, while the 1950s Enesco porcelain blue jay and bullfinch add a touch of color and whimsy.

Beautiful pottery
When the weather starts to warm I LOVE pulling out all of my mid-century pottery! If you have been following me, you know I am a HUGE fan of vintage colors! Soft greens, aqua blues, and pale pinks were all so popular back in the day… and still are today! I never get tired of those FABULOUS hues! To me, McCoy pottery comes in the perfect shades! And as soon as I pair them with my bright yellow blooms – Wowza… instant SPRING!

Spring is officially here! And, I am excited to CELEBRATE every moment of it by sprucing up my decor and adding some warm weather CHEER! I LOVE blooms, birds, and beautiful vintage pottery… they always do the trick for me! So let’s mix a little sunshine into our homes! Let’s try bringing the outdoors in and adding a touch of vintage… and most of all LET’S GET HOMEY!
